Human Rights, Peace Building and Governance

The Human Rights, Peace Building and Governance programs at FERDA focus on promoting human rights, fostering peace and social cohesion, and supporting good governance practices within communities.

Our Human Rights initiatives facilitate inclusive dialogue sessions between conflicting groups, identifying common interests and developing shared solutions to community challenges.

FERDA trains community peace ambassadors who serve as early warning systems for potential conflicts and mediate local disputes before they escalate. We strengthen local governance structures through capacity building on transparent decision-making, inclusive participation, and accountability mechanisms. Our human rights education programs raise awareness about fundamental rights and responsibilities while supporting community advocacy groups to address systemic issues affecting vulnerable populations. Through multi-level engagement from grassroots to policy platforms, FERDA creates sustainable foundations for peace and good governance.
