FERDA’s Gender Based Violence (GBV) programs implement comprehensive initiatives to prevent and respond to GBV, providing support and protection to survivors and promoting gender equality.
Our Gender Based Violence interventions establish safe spaces where survivors can access confidential counseling, medical referrals, and legal assistance through trained case managers.
FERDA conducts community sensitization sessions that engage men, women, and youth in challenging harmful norms and practices that perpetuate gender inequality. We strengthen referral pathways between healthcare providers, law enforcement, legal services, and psychosocial support to ensure coordinated response for survivors. Our economic empowerment activities specifically target GBV survivors, providing skills training and livelihood opportunities that enhance their independence and reduce vulnerability to further violence.
